CANYON CITY NEWS JULY 7 1905. (Jl'I! ADVERTISERS. As previously stated by The News Canyon City is a much better business point than the .u.u.niiSi .i. j r. u. indicate. mere are many places of business here that never tret into the paper unless u be in the shape of a complimentary notice. Just why this is so The News has never figured out to its satis- faction. It is not however on account of ill will or even lack of friendship for in so far as the knowledge of The News goes there is not an enterprise in the town worthy of mention that does not wish the paper well. Some of tbem get in as adver- tisers "once in a while" and all of them even the wholesale houses that don't make a practice of advertising anywhere patronize this office ir. the job line. It may be that the fault for this lack of advertising lays with the sttering gear of The News but be this as it may The News desires to have it clearly under- stood that the town of Canyon City is all right as a trading point and that it...

The agricultural exhibits an entirel' new departure at this reunion attracted perhaps more real interest than anything nut- side of course of the "Old Confeds" themselves. While very earlv in the season for the Plains country along mos-t of this line what wasonexhibition and oi Randall County raising would have rellected credit on even the much tamed black land section of the State and in some notable instances that of grains and fruits surpassed the black land's best.
