BEERBURRUM CO-OP. CO. The inventor of the Jlorton Efflcl er.c- Dehydrator (Mr. J. H. Morton A.M.I. E.) spent a busy week calling -?a a number of creditors of the .'?om- pany whose concurrence in the financial scheme put forward by him was nec essary before, advantage could be taken of the £1000 mortgage loan, arranged for with the E., S., and A. Bank. Mr. Morton has announced that at the general creditors' meeting held in Brisbane on January 24, the following resolutions were passed by creditors representing two-thirds of the com pany debts. Moved by Jlr. H. Dean, seconded by Mr. Moorcroft, — 'That this meeting agrees (subject to the concurrence of the directors ol the Co) that the scheme as put .before this meeting by Mr. J. H. NEW FEDERAL MINISTRY. COMPOSITE N. & C. P. The position in the Federal political arena has been of great interest for the past week, consequent on the resigna tion of Mr. W. M. Hughes as Prime Minister. In spite of the wild accusa tions made by the 'Courier' & Co. against the Country party, accusations which were on a par with the stream of abuse and ridicule which they piled al lover that party during the elections, the only point insisted on by Dr. Earle page as a preliminary to further nego tiations was the resignation of Mr. Hughes. This requirement was fenced Ii\ the well-known Hughesian style for oVcr a fortnight, but the old campaign ? r'had at last to yield.' When handing in his resignation to the Governor General he recommended that Captain Bruce, his Treasurer in the late Minis try, be sent for.
