DUBBO. A young man named Thomas Jones on Sunday last attempted to cross the Macq,uarie River at Belarbigal to his home, and has not since been seen. The police have been unable to find the boat in which he attempted to cross. Owing to a freshet in the river it has been im possible to drag for the body. The police of Narromine and Warren have also been searching, but no trace of the body has yet been found. -

FORBES. A public meeting was held on Friday night last in the Town Hall, when reso lutions of sympathy with the relatives of the late Trooper Clive Flint, of the Forbes Mounted Rifles, who was seriously wounded at Klip Drift on February 16, and who died at Winburg Hospital on Sunday last, were passed. It was also decided to open a memorial fund for the purpose or erecting a monument to Trooper Flint, who was very popular. The Mounted Rifles have decided to erect a tablet in St. John's Church of England to his memory. On next Sunday public memorial services will be held in the Town Hall.
