Chicago Grain Trade. Very few membora of the grain trade of Chicago are at present estimating iMa year's corn crop of tho United States at higher than 1,650,000,000 bushels maximum. The crop in 1900 was 2,105,000.000 bushels, which was rather holow the normal of annual production for the last ton years. The receipts of hogs and cattle at packing centres havo surpassod all records during the past two weeks. They have been averaging at least one-third greater than for tho same period of most years, and show how severe the drought has been to force cattle and hogs lo market on such a scale .bofore they were fat.
