Another addition has been made to the already long list of victims lc highway robl ery, which, though now less frequent than a few years back, still occasionally occurs to menace life and liberty. Mr. W. Le Paiee. of Maud-street, Ohilnell, Geelong, Vic toria, whilst driving along the high way from Pammure to Terang, was suddenly precipitated from bis vehicle into a heap of blue metal, by which he sustained a fractured skull and other injuries (o hia hesd. subsequently de veloping into an attack of paralysis of the brain, which laid him low, until, at a later date, his illness was ar rested by Dr. Williams' Pint Pills for Pale People. To a reporter of the Foolscray Chronicle. Mr. I* P«ic» gave the following particulars of his illness and recovery :_?' In view of the approaching depart ure for Europe of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bennett of ' Rotherwood ' tlie mem Lers and friends of the Berrima Dis trict Fresh Air League met at the ISevv Kail on Thursday and tendered to Mrs. B-niiett a pronouncedly affec tionate farawfill. Mrs. Btnnett has bi-en a staunch and substantial sup porter of the truly good and charitable work of the L»aRue, and to remind her of the scene of her labours in this direction she was presented with a beautiful album of views of the dis trict. The attendance was large, and most enthusiastic in expressions of bon voyage to the departing guest.
