Leyne, has been successful in passing the I Bankers' Institute examination, for which I he sat some time ago under the super vision of Air P. I. Addison, of the Com mercial Bank. The pass of Master Leyne is the more creditable in that he secured the second highest number of marks amongst the ninety examinees in various parts of the fctate who sat during the last half of 191 x. His aggregate was 734 out of a possible 850. In arithmetic he secured 225 marks, (possible 250;, algebra 60 (75). history 108 (125), geography 109 (150), and dictation and composition 232 (250). He expects to leave Forbes to day, Wednes day, to proced to his new home. His place in ihe local branch of the bank will be taken by Mr. Jtlannan, who comes from the Sydney office. MR. T. TWIST'S UNDERTAKERS' OUTFIT. Another alarm was given about 1.30 o'clock on Sunday morning, when the quiet of the night was broken by an out break in sheds at the rear of Mr. Marlin's residence on North Hill, in which were housed the funeral equipages belonging to Mr. T. Twist. The firm was up till recently known as Messrs, Marlin and Twist, but since the dissolution of partner ship a couple of months ago the hearse and other vehicles have continued to be kept at Mr. Marlin's place. The fire, which is of absolutely mysterious origin, was discovered by Mrs. Marlin about half past one, and she at once roused her son, who gave the alarm by telephone to the fire brigade, the members of which got to work as speedily as possible, The shed, which was about 3S feet long, was constructed of pine logs, lined with malthoid material, and roofed with gal vanised iron.
