The game between the Cats and Monument club was the first game called, and was the best game ever played in Thomas coun ty, notwithstanding the large score. The Cats won the game by the score of 28 to 19. Dawes made 5 "runs and one 3 base hit. The Cats did not play the last balf of the 9th inning. The Monument boys are perfect gentlemen, but had three poor plaj'ers, which rather demoralized the rest. Their regular pitcher was away. The game between the Miller club and Bootjacks was quite irood.
