A pedestrian match took ploee in Boston, the other day between Mr. Osgood, Sof Ticknor & Fields pabllsing bonue, and Mr Dolby, Mr. Dickens agent The distance was six miles out and back. The contest was won by Mr. Osgood. Mr. Dolby having called a carriage at the eighth mile. Mr. Osgood accomplished the last sax miles in one hour and ten minutes. Wm. Gibson, professor of sergery, in the Uni versity of Pennsylvania, died in Savannah, Georgia, on Mondey week. Talfourd himself used to drink a deal of port, and flnaly died of apoplexy.
