Farm and Household. Agriculture. Comparisons of the Statistics of Agriculture in the census re ports of 1S70 and 1860, shows that the increase of orchard pro ducts in that time was 130 per cent garden products increased 2Sper cent, the value of live 6tock increased 40 per cent., the product of wheat increased G6 per, cent., the. precentage of in crease of wool was precisely that Of wheat, and the flax product in creased 474 per cent. Popula tion increased during the decade, 22 per cent. There Tras a slight decline in the products of corn, and a material decrease in buck wheat, while the potato, barley and oat crops increase largely, and butter and cheese collective ly were about the same. The ei-. fects of the war upon the South ern States are seen in the large ly diminished productions of rice, tobacco and cotton.
