The Up-to-Date Baby. The old-time baby cradle is a thing of the past. The new baby, to be up to date, must go to sleep like grown-ups. This is the edict of the doctors. No more rattles and jumping-jacks and trotting and tip-toeing and whispering and rocking of the cradle until the arm is paralyzed.
