The Flag says the eitiiens of Matamoras had a funeral procession on the 9th inst., in honor of the memory of the gallant Cols Marroqaini and iQnintero, who feH at the re cent encounter at Tampico. The Nueces Valley, we are pleased to see, warmly supports the Democratic ticket. It ia one of the most readable of our south- western State exchanges. The Qomales Inquirer says that the con- dition of the crops grows better and better, the recent rains %a*e brought the corn along admirably, and the yield will be a large one. • The cotton is rery promising. The Inquirer says that the religious revi- there closed last Thursday week. There were eighty conversions, and seventy acces- sions to the'ehurch. The Inquirer has been presented with a beautiful cluster of grapes, of an imported variety, grafted on a mustang stock.
