CRICKET NOTES. Nagambie play Murchison on Saturday next on the Murchison grourd. The latter's team will be picked from the following :—Day (3), Dtvyar, Davidson, Shewan, Heazlewood, Kearney, Cloney (2), Thome, Charlton, Tilson, Sherris, Oadan, Scden. On Saturday nest Murchison meet Na gambie, on the Murchison ground, in the final match of the Warauga Cricket Asso ciation. Both clubs expect to be well represented and a good game should resnlt. Arrangements have been made for the Murchison cricketers to visit Tatura on Saturday, 28th inst. Later, Tatura will pay a visit to Murchison. Two interest ing matches should result. During the Easter holidays cricket enthusiasts will have their tastes well catered for at Murchison. Arrangements are in course of completion for the Shep parton club to send a team to Murchison on Good Friday to take part in an all-day match, while on Easter Monday a com bined Rushworth and Murchison team will play the Fitzroy Bohemians.

GOULBURN WEIR. On Sunday afternoon last Harvest Fes tival services in connection with Goul burn Weir Presbyterian church were decorated for the occasion. The congre gations were large, a pleasing feature being the presence of many friends from Nagambie. In the afternoon the service was conducted by Rev. F. 0. Vickerman, B.A., whose appropriate and helpful sermons are so much appreciated by his congregations always. The choir sang, The Eyes of All Walt upon Thee. At night the service took the form of a ser vice of song, the reading and prayers being conducted by Mr Parris, whilst Mr Burt Stewart, of JRushworth, gave a most interesting and instructive address on " National Ideals for Australians," which was listened to with wrapt attention by all. The choir sang the anthem, While the Earth Remaineth ; Mr Boutcher sang a pretty solo entitled Hold Thou My Hand, and Mr Brown rendered A Dream of Paradise in his usual fine style. Cara g Carag. A farewell social took place in the Methodist Ohurch, Oarag, on Monday evening last on the occasion of-the depar ture of Mrs Robertson and her daughter to Kyabram. Rev. H- Riohardaon occu pied the chair and spoke of the sterling qualities of the guests and of their valu able aid to the church, of which they were memberB. Messrs Wright, S. Hicks, R. Hicks, F. Enders and Martin all spoke of the good qualities of the departing guests and the loss the district would sustain thereby. In the course of the evening the guests were presented with a nice electroplate teapot as a small token of the respect in which the recipients were held by the people generally. Proceedings terminated with refreshments kindly pro vided by the ladies.
