LOCAL NEWS. Hussey Troupe.. — These talented artistes give a performance at Tattersall's Hotel to night. The name of Hussey alone should be a guarantee of the quality of the enter tainments. The style and rank in the pro fessional world is something greatly in excess of what we have hitherto seen in this town, (see advt.) The Wesleyans conduct their Sunday services in Messrs. Forsyth and Loughnan's wool store, pending the completion of their new church. Presbyterian. — The Rev. Sub-inspector Creaglie, deposed : that on the 23rd March, he entered a Chinese gaming house, and there saw defendant acting at the table while gambling was going on. An Irishman one morning went out very early, in search of . some game, on an estate where the game laws were strictly enforced. Turning a sharp corner, whom did he meet but the gentleman who owned the estate. Paddy, seeing the game was up, coolly advanced towards the gentleman, and said, 4* The top of the morning' to your honour ! And what brought your honour out so early this morning ?' The gentle man replied by saying, 'Indeed, Paddy, 1 just strolled out to see if I could find an appetite for my breakfast.' A PARADOX. \ To Sufferers. JT ervousness : Its Nature and Cure . j WHAT IS NERVOUSNESS? Various answers might be given to this question, according to the constitution and knowledge of the individual Strong healthy persons, whether medically educated or not, generally regard nervousness as more or less an ' imaginary complaint ; ' it is sometimes only be lieved to be real when the patient is found to be dying or dead. The best answer to tbe question probably, is this— NERVOUSNESS IS AN iwl NATURAL CONDITION OF THE NERVOUS SYSTEM. Sometimes this unnatural state is accompanied with considerable bodily weakness loss of flesh and loss of strength ; but in most cases there is in the earlier stages of the disorder no out ward sign of weakness. Drawbacks Regulations, 1872. Act 35 Vic. No. 413. 1. A drawback ot duty paid on imporrauon may ue paid on the exportation of the goods mentioned in schedule 1 , hereunto attached, and at the rate respec tively specified against any item exported. 2- In order to entitle the exporter to claim any such drawback he shall comply with the following conditions : M A nntii?p must be sriven to the collector of cus toms at the port of export at least two working hours before of the intention to pack. HAY PASTORAL ASSOCIATION MEETING. The annual meeting of the members of the Hay Pastoral Association was held at the Caledonian Hotel, Hay, on Friday, 12th April, 1872. Present : Messrs. Simson ( in the chair) Tully, M'Gaw, Chambers, D'Archy, M'Farland, Macgregor, and Fairbairn. The minutes of previous meeting were read' and confirmed.
