In our issue of the 13th instant, we published aomo infonnatinu funrished by our Warwick correspondent, respecting the introduction of several flocks of diseased sheep into the Darling Downs' district, aud the destruction of one of the flocks consistiag of about 1500 ' head, the property of Mr. W. B. Tooth, of Clifton. These sheep were destroyed on Lord Jobn'B Swamp, Canning Dowus, in consequence of ^roof having been adduced that they were infected with catarrh, or, as some term the disease, influenza, which is known to be of a Very virulent nature, and very difficult to cure ; indeed, there exists considerable doubt dmong the most experienced sheBp-fermers whether this most formidable malady can be perfectly cured under -any circumstances. j Since the destruction of these sheep, we Ibarn that Mr. Watto, of Eton Vate, laid an ipformaUon against Mr. Andekson, the Buper inteudeut of Mr. Tooth, in which he was charged with; driving...

Yesterday week being tiic day npnniiitcd for the holding of tlie Circuit Court, his' Hmior Mr. Justice Milford took hi* scat on the Urncli at ten o'clock a.m. The Court was opened with the usual formalities, after which Mr. Dowliug produced the writ author ising him to net ns Crown Prosecutor. William Murphy, an old man, was placed at tli« bar, charged with having unlawfully and indecently assaulted one Flora Henderson, a girl under ten years of age. i'hc prisoner pleaded Not -3«ilty. The mother of the child having given hur evi dence, proved that tlic offence ivhs committed in « Uut on the station of Messrs. Mart & I.Hidlcy, of Franklin Vale, on the 28th March last. The parti culars are unfit for publication. Ilis Honor briefly summed up, and the jury having retired for about ttventy minutes, returned with a verdict of Guilty.
