Government Public Notice. HOBART TOWN, 23d October, 1817. THE Public are required to take notice that no Buildings in this Township are to be erected but in a Regular Line of the streets;   and in future the Plans of those Dwellings intended to be ßuilt must be submitted to the Inspection of the Deputy Surveyor, in order that they may be in Conformity with the Regulations fixed upon by His Excellency the Governor, in Chief on that subject. No Skillings are permitted; and those which have been Built, be-     ing in Breach of a former Order, if they be not added to, within twelve Months from this Date, will be Removed. It is further directed that all Persons ín possesion of Town Allot- ments do, without Loss of Time, make a Path-way, Nine Feet Wide, in front thereof; and it is also expected, that the Paling or Fence   be put up in a Decent and Regular Manner, or otherwise they will be Removed. A Report having reached His Honor the Lieutenant Governor, of an atrocious murder committed at York Plains on Friday last, upon John Evans, a Stock-keeper, by Georges Gray, a Soldier of the Detachment Stationed there, who afterwards deserted in company with a Native Lad employed as a Stock-keeper by Joseph Wright ; all Persons are enjoined to use every possible exertion for his apprehension.               A Reward of Fifty Guineas will be paid to any Person or Per- sons who shall apprehend the said George Gray ; and should any Crown Prisoner employed in the Country have an opportunity of Rendering that Service, the LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR engages to   Recommend such Prisoner to His Excellency the Governor     in Chief, for his Free Pardon and passage ...

GOVERNMENT HOUSE, HOBART TOWN, Monday, 27th October, 1817       WHEREAS Michael Howe, a Crown prisoner now at large, stands charged in addition to his former Offences, with the Murder of William Drew(commonly called Slambo), on Friday the     10th Instant. In addition to the Reward of One hundred Guineas already offered for the apprehension of the said Michael Howe, His Honor the Lieutenant Governor, is pleased to declare that he will Recommend to His Excellency for a Free Pardon and his Passage to England, any Crown Prisoner who shall be the means of apprehend- ing the said Michael Howe.           By Command of His Honor the Lieutenant Governor, W.
