Francis Henry Lymeiv a man '.rather above middle age, and who has been re siding-in Bowral. for about 18 months, was charged with iudecentiy assaulting a little girl of eleven years of age, nt Bowral, on Saturday evening last/28th December.'. Constable Gallagher gave evidence leading? up to the arrest of the accused. Dr. Vallack deposed that ho had examin ed the girl, but fonnd no marks of violence :upou hei'j. nor any indication that she had been the victim of assault. • The little girl in question sobbed a good deal when giving her evidenco. She knew the accused, whom she met in Bong Bong street last Saturday night. It was da/k. Her little., brother was with her. ' V This, holiday passed off very quietly in Bowral, in fact the town appeared to be de serted ;■ but it was soon heard and seen to be otherwisp,. for sweet- strains of music could be clearly heard coining on the breeze from the Association Band, and on wend •ing one's way to the cricket ground-,-an im mense crowd was witnessed who had gather ed together to view the scratch match that was being played, and to-listen to the selec tions played by the band.
