On the occasitn ot tbe recent celebra¬ tion o the competion of tbe Brooklyn bridge, Messrs. 2alliston and Peters the latter a Methodist preacher of Oli¬ ver, New York, vent to tbe top ot High Point, one of tbe most prominent ot the Catskill peaks, and 3,400 feet above tide water, to ascertain if the fireworks on the bridge conld be seen from that point.
