Pricott, A. T- Oct. 11, 1876 At a convention of the citizens of Yava pai County convened pursuant to a call in the Arizona Miner of the Gtli inst. Hon. C. A. Luke called the Convention to order and stated the object of the meeting. On motion of Mr. J. G. Campbell, Mr. T. J. Butler was elected Chairman, and on mo tion of Mr. 0. B. Foster, W. F. Higgins was elected Secretary. Hon. John A. Rush addressed the Conven tion and moved that the nomination of 4 candidates for Council and 8 candidates for House be made by ballot.
