S. lay, of Linn, recently rcmaked at an agricultu ral meeting in boston, (as reported in tlio N. E. Farmer,) "Sheep arc gleaners after othor stock, and will keep the cattle pasture in good condition by being turned into them ocasionally to cat the coarser plants which havo been left. They will enrich tho land. Thoro is no manure so fertili zing a3 that of tlio sheep, and it docs not so readily wasto by exposure as that of other animals. Sheep may bo made cr cccdingly useful in helping to prepare land for a crop.
