THE ACKLEN SCANDAL NEW OSSEINS, June 25.—The Tho night before that of the reported as­ sault three different parties occupied ad­ jacent rooms in Welcker's restaurant. Ros­ ser with a lady the first, "Acklen and com­ panion tho second, and a party of convivial Congressmen the third. The exclusively Congressional party was exhilerated and noisy to such an extent, in fact, as to annoy GenI Rosser, who, arising to find ont where the noise was, passed the door of Acklen's apartment, which was partially open. ^Ros­ ser, bowing to Acklen, asked him whether he knew where the noise was made. Acklen in­ formed him. Then Rosser returned to his companion, and shortly afterward went away, Acklen soon following. Gen. Rosser passed him at the foot of the stops, and there the ordinary civil salutations of parting were ex­ changed.
