Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Pat H. Foley Funeral Home in Houston. Burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Houston Mr. Pavelka had lived in the Holland area for about 12 years and owned the Wheel Inn in Holland during that time. He had lived in Houston for about 10 years Survivors include his widow Mrs. Emma Pavelka of Houston; two sons Ed- ward L. Goodnight scored three touchdowns to lead the Hornet offense. Coach Gary Tyson and his Holland Hornet football team will be looking forward to Friday night Ocotbcr 20 when they travel to Salado to take on the high-flying Salado Eagles. Named outstanding players in last week's action by Coach Tyson were Kirk Goodnight on offense and Terry Johnson on defense. The typical array of disguises wll include the classic ghosts clowns witches and goblins and the more recent versions such as Darth Vadcr and various supcrherocs. The phrase "trick or treat" pretty well sums up what Halloween Is all about for Halloween has traditionally included a little of both. Halloween goes back a long way and is actually a combination of traditions. There is a touch of the Roman harvest festival a good helping of the Druids' celebration of the eve of Samhain a sprinkling of witchcraft and even a bit of religious influence.
