IMOTOR 'BUSES. It. is the intention of the London County Council, which has £l11,500,000 of public money inve'sted in London tram ways, to apply for to run a motor omnibuses. The great success, both from a financial and public point of view, of the miotor 'bus in London, is playing havoc with tramway traffic, and at 'last the London County Council is faced with serious problem of what to do with its tramway systemns, which are being supplanted liy the cheaper and moure mobile motor propelled vehicle. It is pirob!able that before long the motor hbus will enter into spirited compe titian with the tratmnwys aixl subur ban railway3 .n.M elbourite:-It is interesting to note that one London motor 'bus company has a fleet of 1,220 up-to-date vehicles, which tduring 1911 carried more: than 300,000,000 passengers.
