Haines, of 'Waverley,' West Tamworth, to Hugh Alexander, ninth son of Mr. and Mrs. llenry McCluskie, Dixon Avenue, Guvenliill, Queen's Park, Scotland. The benefit social at the Alhambra Hall 011 Wednesday night last, tendered by the United Friendly Societies' Association, to tho widow and children of the late Mr. Stephens was well attended, both by dancers and on lookers in the gallery. Miss Sheahnn, assist ed by Miss M'Namara, provided the music, and Mr. C. Lambert contributed an extra. Messrs. H. Hihle and W. Young acted as M.'s.C.
