Take the average girth in inches, divide by 4, deduct 1 inoh (for bark) tor each G foot of circumference, and squtuo the result; this gives mean sectional area. Multiply thia by longth of tree in feet, and divide by 130—the quotient equals contents iu cubic feet. Task Measurement. The usual form of tank for pas toral purposes iB a square or rect angular blook, with four slopes of equal or uniform batter. Add to gether the area of the bottom, of the top, and four times the area of the middle, and divide the result by 6 for the main area. Yabba North Coursing Club A meeting of the above club was held at McGarry's Wine Cafe last Saturday night, when there was a good attendance. The balanco-sheot showed a credit of about £12, and it was received and adopted. The following office-bearers were elected:—President, E. Jef frey, Esq.; judge, Mr. M. Shiels; slippers, Messrs. H. Carroll and M. Smyth; slip steward, Mr. D. Tracey; stewards, Messrs. H. O'Donnell, R. Carroll, D. Tracey, D. Ryan and J. Cummins; com mittee, W. Deagan, R. Carroll, A. McGarry, G. Forestal, J. The annual meeting of the North-Eastern District Racing Association was held at Wangar atta on Friday night last, when fifteon clubs wero represented. G. Maxwell the provisional pre sident, occupied the chair, and Mr H. Halligan, of Wangaratta TurJ Club, acted as secretary.
