Dairy Notes: Balliua creamery last month manufact ured 49^3 tons of butter. The pay amounted to ^6155', with superfine at 1 i^d per lb. ; No 1, is ij^d; and No 2, is i^d. The Dacon department killed 807 pigs, for which the pay totalled ^1898, the average price being 5^d per lb. The Nimbin Co-operative Dairy Com pany manufactured 15 tons. butter dur ing August, suppliers receiving is id per lb. for first-class, and is o^d for second class. The Kyogle Co operative Dairy Com pany's payment for August was at the rate of i3fljd per lb. for first class and i234d for secoud-graue butter. The total distributed to suppliers was ^6oqo, being nearly double the amount paid for the corresponding period last year. The high price of butter is largely responsible for the increase, though the supply of cream was largely in excess of last year.
