I for Women Only Washing mechanics' overalls is Just one more of tftose bard house hold chores. Here are some hints that may make things a little easier:— Kerosene washing is suitable for laundering heavy grease-stained cloth ing. Use sufficient washing powder to produce rick ,creamy suds, and add half a cup of kerosene to five gallons of water (approximately half a copper full) . Then pot the clothcs in DBY. Boil rapidly for 30 minutes, removing the scum us it rises. If the clothos stop boiling the dirt will settle in them aud be difficult to remove. Binse in plenty of hot water to remove greasy matter. If overalls are not immediately re quired, leave oil line overnight. Dew helps to bleach stubborn grease stuins.
