At the last meeting of the Pine branch of. the Agricultural Burean, Mr Mallyoa draw attention to cer tain disabilities: under which credit selectors who have to mortgage their huluings laboured as compared with necessitous freeholders. Mr. Mallyon's (object in introducing the matter was that the Bureau might discuss the matter and recommend it to the notice of other branches with a view to bringing about an amendment of the law.' It appears, however, from a communication received from the General Secretary, who was ques tioned-in regard to it, that the matter is not one which the Bureau can discuss, as it is " political' and de batable."
