ItosToN, May 21,1852. —This evening, •• the carriage of W illiani Sawyer, an emineiu law yer, of Charlestown, ami late postmaster, was attempting to ci oks the track of the Fitchburg railroad, at Waverly, the d<\jynward northern train, running nt the rate of thirty to forty miles an hour, catne up demolishing the car rage and instantly killing Mr. Sawyer, His el dest daughter, and the driver. .Mrs Sawyer and two other daughters w ere injured. Mrs. S., it is said, hag her skull fractured so that the brains protrude, and she i* not expected to re cover. The two daughters, it is thought, are not mortally injured.
