Lorenzo Pickle, was shot and klllod at Richfield Center about 15 miles from Flint, bv Under-Sheriff Ernest M. Par sell, whilst resisting arrestunder charg os contained in a warrant in the posses sion of the officer. Picklo was a hard character and had mado himself partic ularly disagreeablo to tho people of Flushing, whoro ho had resided up to a few dajs ago, bv reason of his disorder ly conduct, and a warrant was taken out for bis arrest. He heard of this and loudly and vehemently declared his in tention of shootiDg any officer who at tempted to arrest mm. The arrest was attempted by -Deputy Sherift Carton, when livo shots wcro exchinprod, three by Pickle and two from the officer, and the fellow cot away.
