The spectacle under a demo cratic administration of tens of thous ands of republicans, sleek and well fed, in fat offices and sitting by warm fires in the winter, while tens of thousands of democrats, just as smart and just as good, stood outside gauut, hungry and shivering, was enough to disgust and it did disgust the masses.
