ELTI-IAM SIIIRE COUNCIL. ORDINARY MONTHLY MEETING. This council met on Monday last, all the members being present except ing Crs. Cameron and Lowman. COnRESPONDENCE. From Mr. Amos Harrison, offering to repair some dangerous places on the Arthur's Creek road, for the sum of £4 9s. On the recommendation of the Surveyor this offer was accepted. From Mr. H. Ffrench, complaining of the state of the road leading to his property on the Big Hill, in conse quence of which he averred that he had been put to serious loss. Cr. Bell said he had lately visited this road, which was not so bad as re ported. Mr Ffrench could have little idea of what constituted a bad road. The Surveyor stated that £5 bad been voted for this road, whioh would shortly be spent. From Messrs.
