The Mitchell Rabbit Boaad. A meeting of the above Board was held at their offices on Monday, the 27th alt. There were present: Messrs. Brodie, Crombie, L E.. Peyton, T. G. Millar, Laarmonth, Young, Hamilton, and Hop tins, the tbreo latter gentlemen sitting for the first time. Mr. Maclean, the Superintendent; was also present. The Clerk, Mr. ST. J. W. Nielsen, took the chair, and read the result of the poll ing at tho lute election of three members caused by tho retirement by rotation of Messrs. W. W. Hood, A. H. Pooler, aDd J. Crombie:—J. Crombio, 256 votes; ii. JL Hopkius, 227 votes; T. A. Hamilton, lttl votes; VV. \Y. Hood, 83 votes; and A. H. Peglcr, 51 votes. Half Holiday Movement. PUBLIC MEETING ON" THURSDAY NIGHT. In response to numerous circulars issued by Mr. G. A. Francis, acting in the capacity of secretary to the Half Holiday movement, a largo number of business people assembled at the Divisional Board hall to discus3 the advisablenuss of estab lishing a weekly half holiday. All the principal business places of tho town were represented. Mr. J. F. F. Loc'-cetfc was voted to the chair on tho proposition of Mr. Wildi*1, seconded by Mr. Warlow. Mr. Wildie stated that Mr. Lockott was one of the main movers on the occasion of a similar movement as the one about to be dis cussed.
