COMMISSARIAT.           COMMISSARIAT OFFICE. NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS. Hobart Town, 15th July, 1845. NOTICE is hereby given, that the following standing rules must he invariably observed by all parties wishing to become Contractors with this Department. 1. Every Tender to he in duplicate, sealed, and endorsed on the envelope, in accordance with the description of supply to which it refers. 2. Printed forms of Tenders can be obtained at the several Commissariat Offices ; and in every case that will admit of it these must he used and signed by a responsible party engaging to become surety for the due fulfilment of the Tender if ac- cepted. 3. Separate Tenders must be made to corres- pond with each advertisement respectively, even in cases where they may be called for on the same day. GEO. MACLEAN,   Deputy Commissary-General.

TENDERS will be received at this office until 12 o'clock on Wednesday, the 30th instant, for the   supply of such quantities of the following articles   as may be required for a road party of 20 men sta- tioned at Bagdad, viz. :—   Twelve per cent, flour, or bread at per lb. Fresh meat per lb.   Vegetables per 100 lbs.   Salt per lb.   Soap per lb. Oil per gallon   Cotton wick per lb.   Yeast per gallon   Straw per 100 lbs.   The conditions to be the same as those appllca-   ble to the annual contracts, and published in the   Courier newspaper under date 9th January last.   GEO. GOVERNMENT NOTICE.   Colonial Secretary's Office, 21st July, 1845. His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor has   been pleased to direct, that the following notice of   the objects of an Act about to be laid before the Legislative Council, intituled " An Act to increase the Amount of Duty payable for Licences in certain cases," be published for general in- formation.
