We would like to see these gentlemen call, public meetings in these towns to form a Commit tee to try and get Mr. Barton, Mr. Bei i, or other leading Federalists to deliver speeches at these places. If this could be done, the electors would have the Bill properly . ex plained to them, and therefore would not be Jed astray by hackneyed and corrupt articles by a few crafty plotters and saltish agitators in Sydney, who think that Sydney is ...

A Truly Terrible Insect. [Newspaper Article] — The Blayney Advocate and Carcoar Herald — 9 April 1898

A Truly Terrible Insect. Even rvor»e than tho dr-aded tsetse fly of Sout.h Africa, is an iusi-ct found in the great marges and swamp grasn lands of Bothnia 11ml Finlntid. It is appropriately named furia infcrnalis, is absolutely fatal to caUlc aud ni-)»t driugerous tumati It is a very tiny, greyish-black fly, which alights imper ceptibly, and almost immediately buries it self in tho flesh, leaving but a tiny black spot to mark its bito. Excruciating pain, iiifl-iuimatioii, gangrene, and death ensue unless the animal is immediately extracted. This is a matter of great difficulty, ; and eifeated by a poultice of cur.ls, or else by carefully dissecting the museles where it has entered. ,
