Hobart Town ; SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 1817. SITTING MAGISTRATE—WILLIAM BROUGHTON, Esq: At a Bench of Magistrates held on Thursday, Parker, Keigan, and Coine, three of the bush-rangers who have for such a length of time been plundering the peaceable and inoffensive settler of all his     comforts, were assaigned under the charge of robbing Mr. STOCKER in November last. The prisoners respectively pleaded guilty; and   were each sentenced to receive 1oo lashes, and to labor at the Coal       River, New South Wales, in irons, for the space of two years. The robberies which had been committed by these men had laid them o-   pen to capital punishment, but they were free from the crime of murder ; and as they had all given themselves up, voluntarily, it ap- pears that the Government had determined not to bring them to trial for their lives ; their present sentence securing them against hav- &...

THE Cattle and Sheep belonging to Individuals in Hobart Towtft   being at present turned out to Graze upon all the Crown Land; a-   round the Town, by which means the Government Working Bull- ocks cannot obtain feed ; It is hereby ordered that no Cattle, or Sheep be allowed to graze on the South side of the Town or Rivu- let.--All Cattle or Sheep found after the publication of this No- tice, on the South side of the Rivulet, will be pounded. M; SHIPS NEWS. - On Tuesday last sailed for Port Jackson, His Majesty's  colonial brig Elizabeth Henrietta, Mr. WHYTE, Master,   Passengers, Mrs. Hogan & family, Mrs Drummond, Messers. Jemott, Fawkner, and Belvin. - John Drummond,Esq; Miss Mackellar   and Mary Evers, lately commited on a charge of murder, were sent up in this vessel for trial; and all those bushrangers who were lately sentenced to be sent to the Coal River, New South Wales: also the cutter Mermaid, Capt. Scholey.- Passengers, A. F. Kemp, Esq., and Lieutenant Nunn, of the 46th Regiment. SHIP NEWS. - Owing to a signal which was flying all yesterday at Mount Nelson for a ship in sight from the Northward, we stopped the Press. We are now enabled to acquaint our Readers that   the ship Pilot, Capt. PEXTON, of 400 tons burthen, lately from England, with male Convicts, has arrived in this Harbour from Port Jackson, which place she left On the 14th instant; bringing Lieut.   ROBINSON and 18 privates of the 48th Regt, with 280 male   prisoners; 105 of whom had lately been landed from the Almorah.
