T'r.cowv.I TRusT.-TIhe usual mnontly meeting of the ''ragowel Plains Irrigation and Water Supply Trust was held at the ollices, Minchi, yesterday. A full re aoet of the procedings is inavoidably with hehl from the present issue.. The coll uittee appointed to investigate the charges preferred against Inspector Southern by Omr. .loylan rdported as follows :--" As appointed, we mect on Saturday, the 6th August, and investigated the charges made by Cmir. MIoylan against the in spector of works (Mr. Southern), for passing varions works before beiig com pleted. (1.) We inspected stop at God ward's and found this completed.. (2.) Inspected stop at Sly's; here we found nothing had been done. We also inves tigated charges 3 and 4, viz., stops at lnerin's and M'Konzie's, and found no thing done. Mr. Solithern informed us that the whole.of the work could be finished in a few hours: lie also stated that although the cheque had been passed it was retained till the work had been in spected. 31r. ...
