STICKING-UP THE FORBES MAIL. A gentleman who arrived at Grenfell yes terday evening inform# us that ho met Ryan, 1 tho mail-man, on Ids way to Forbes, convoy, itig.tho mall to that town which was dig, patched from Grenfell at tbo usual hour, viz. i) o'clock a.m. yeeterdoy (Friday). Ryau gave information that whon about a milo this ride of tho Pinnacle ho was stopped by n young man nbout 6 ft. 10 in. in height, with bushy whiskors, who desired him to hand bim over the mail-bags, and who compelled bim to stand aside with bis back turned while bo proceeded to riSo tbo bags. Tho bushranger oponed tho bags and letters, und remarked that ' it was b— y poor work, only £2 odd.' Whether this was all begat out of tbo letters Ryan of course could not toll, Tho robber made the uiaiUman cbango horses, giring bis knocked up beast for Ryan's comparatively fresh one, and bo also changed bridles.
