The Donald Town Clock A FAMOUS TIME PIECE. [Newspaper Article] — Donald Times — 21 January 1916

The Donald Town Clock A FAMOUS TIME PIECK. Cr Basset had a chip—last Wed nesday at the Donald Shire Council —at that famous specimen of the clock-maker's art, which at present disfigures the Donald Post O.Tice. Some time ago Cr Pearse referred to the matter, and suggested such a drastic measure as covering it over. One would have thought the clock was sensitive, for after Cr Pearse became hostile towards it, the clock behaved itself for a while, but on;e more the much abused town clock —rather a euphonious title—is at war with itself. Crs Basset and Wortley, therefore, moved that the desirability of procuring a new clock bj brought under the notice of the Postmaster General.
