De Lave'sperformances are thus described by the Rochester Democrat , De Lave appeared at 4 o'clock-precisely, having Strapped <>u his back a chair and a salver, upon which were a lot of small _oakes which were to serve as his lunch. He immediately took up his pole and started out. When about the middle ol the chasm ho stopped and sat down.
