A MEDAL FOR BIG FAMILIES . A bill has been introduced in the Pennsylvania legislature to give a gold medal to motners of big families , and cash bonus . Mothers of six children are to get $ 10 cash and a $ 10 medal . Then it scales up till if they have 15 children they get $ 20 in cash and a $ 20 medal . Furthermore , every seventh child will be educated by the state , provided the education shall not cost SDOO . Now , there is an inducement for you . Every mother in the sirate will be after that ¥ 20 medal . There have been more poor jokes cracked over President Kooseveltfs plea for large families than anything that has happened in a generation , but none of them have gone quite as far as this . This will be terrible , for there are thousands of them riding on prlvalta business on transportation furnished for public uses . If all the politicians who ride free have to pay , perhaps the railroad will be enabled to make ldwer rates for the rest of the world . Urbana has some wants . It needs some more paved streets , some extensive extension of the sewerage system , dr . perhaps , more properly speaking , a sewerage system , an opera house , and some more good business blocks . If some of the old one-story stores were torn away and modern business blocks were erected in their stead , it would be helpful . More interurban lines , a few factories , no matter how small , so they have the elements of success in them , and some etceteras . Some of these things will be done the coming season .
