The most experienced cultivators of tbe hop find It necessary to have several varieties , as In an unfavorable season , some of them being hardy , can withstand the severity of the weather better than others . There is another advantage in having at least one part of the plantation of an earlier variety than the rest—the hops will not all ripen together and they can be attended to In detail .
