Representative democrats from all parts of the coun ty were present, and harmony and good-will prevailed. The seating ca pacity in the large opera room In the city hall was taxed to its utmost, and the audience was graced by the pres ence of many ladles and children. Many republicans were present, and seemed to enjoy the occasion. Unfortunately, lion. C. H. Farls could not be present, and after being presented by Von Mayes, Arthur L. Oliver made the opening speech, being billowed by Hon. Ralph Wainuiaek. Until speakers seemed at their best, and their speeches were highly appre ciated by the audience. SOME FACTS ABOUT STATEWIDE LET WELL ENOUGH ALONE-READ AND THINK. Let Well Enough Alone. The voter who Is inclined toward statewide prohibition should think carefully before lie finally makes up his mind to support that measure. Let us stop for a moment and count the cost and in doiny this, what bet ter method can we pursue than to take tho experience of other states?
