I THBIsha ACCOIDENT. Abost five miles North of this town a terrible accident occurred on the night of Saturday last. It is very fortunate that the conse qu'ences were not more serious,, and us aggravated as they might have been. On that night four young men D. Blanchard, Alphonse and S., oanette and Orphelia Bon notte, met at the store of Mr. Broouiliete, made a purchese and thla r.de asway, intending to at tend a ball given a few miles from there. Their course was through a narrow lane and the two young men who were in the lead galloped ofl at a quick pace, leaving their com panions in the rear. Reaching the end of the lane they waited for them to ride up; but as these did not ap pear it was suggested that they should rids back for them. They started off at a rapid pace, and in the meantime the two who had straggled behind determitned to over (take those in advance and plunging the rowels into thei: horses dashed off at fall speed.
