K r i WEEKLYGBAPHIC KIRKSVILLE MISSOURI V M GlLL Editor FRIDAY MAY 12 1832 PROSPECTS In view of the last years shortage in the crops of the country nd the con sequent scarcity and high prices of the past winter and present spring people of all professions and callings are asking in their minds and of their neigh bors what are the prospects and what may we expect financially during the coming year First as to crops The New York Times has recently obtained reports of the condition and prospects of the crops in thirty seven states and four territories which may be briefly summarized as fallows the spring out look is almost uniformly hopeful Floods and frosts have delayed work in some sections but the acreage under cultivation has much increased Winter wheat will give an increased yield in nearly every state excepting Ohio Indiana New York and Pennsylvania More land is in Oats and Potatoes this than there were last year In the grain producing states west ot the Mississippi returns indic...
