A. Dodge, in tho Journal of Agriculture, says ho cures hog cholera by giving half a tcaspoonful of carbolic acid in a gill of milk. It is adminis tered from a long-necked bottle. Uuckwhcat straw should never to nscd as bedding for pi3, as it causes an irritation of thir skin. It never af fects other animals, howovcr, and is a good absorbent. A'. Y. Herald. A few drops of hartshorn put into filittlo water will clean a hair-brush nicely. If very dirty, uso a littlo soap also.
