NUMBER 11 Dynamite and Death Demand Human Toll George Murdock, fireman on the dinky train that hauls ma- terial from Crockett and the dam lock which the government is buildihg on Trinity river was blown to atoms Monday morning by the explosion of 4,000 pounds of dynamite which was being hauled from the dam to Crockett. From the best available infor- mation it appears that the dyna- mite was placed on two or three different flat cars and in the train of material and other stuff, including laborers which leaves Crockett at 7 o'clock every morning and the start was made from the dam back to town. The dynamite had been covered with wagon sheets, and it further appears that a quantity of dynamite caps was also in the dvnamite.
