A. Miller), Very Rev. Father O'Connell, and Revs. A. Richards and R. Jennings, Dr. Broinowski, and Messrs. J. Fatal Areidcnt THROWN FROM A COLT. j Magisterial . Enquiry. j On the -10th ult. Edward Slattery t was thrown from a young horse, re- i ceiving fatal injuries, on Clare Station, I near Oxley. The unfortunate man ! was admitted to tlie Hay Hospital at 4.30 a.m. o i Sunday last, 2nd inst., ] but he died there very soon after ad mission. A.n enquiry into tne cause or deatn was held by Mr Martin, Coroner, at the Court House this morning. George Simpson, laborer, Clare Station, said he had known the de ceased, Edward Slattery, for some years. He was with him on the 10th of November last on Clare station, about 15 miles from the out station of Clare. Edward O'Keefe and William Goddard were with them. They were going out to burn a fire-brake on the boundary of Clare and Mossgiel. De ceased and witness were on horseback, and O'Keefe and Goddard were in a spring-cart.
