The President was allowed to remain in the invalid chair thirty-five minntes and was lifted back to bis bed at 11 wO a. tn. There were no ill effects from the change of position. The physicians say they will allow him to sit in the chair at least once a day, so long as the present favorable condition con tinues. The President feels convinced that he is growing stronger and is much gratified that the results justified the judgment of bis ability to stand the change which be requested. DOISO WEIX.
