We propose to notice some of the objec tions urged against Got. Reeder. We do not appear as his apologist, but simply to state a few facts, to correct, what we deem erroneous statements. We desire to do justice to all parties, and would not if we know it, do injustice to any. So far as we are informed, Gov. Reeder has kept entirely aloof from the question of slavery, and is for carrying out strictly the principles of the Kansas bill, and for the people settling all questions relating to their domestic institutions for themselves. Gov. R. never sought the office he now holds, and though he was "confirmed in July," while at home, he had much to do before he could leave. He .was here early in October, only a very short time after the Governor of Nebraska had passed up the country. A few days after his arrival, he made a tour of observation t...
