TRIAL OF A FRATRICIDE. There has just been concluded be fore the Criminal Court of this county, his Honor, Jul o Turner, presiding, a trial for fratricide, the incidents at tending the committal of which ex ceed in horrible and unnatural barbar ity almost any thing with which we have been made acquainted in the annals of crime. Iiriclly stated, the circumstances are these : A dispute having occurred relative to property in some chairs between Green Mcf,etilon, the criminal, and his brother George F. McLcmlcn, the former went to the houso of the latter on the lxJth of May last, and found him ploughing in the field near by. Telling the deceased he came for his things, the latter told turn to go to the housenndget them. Green, however, told the wife of the former that "ho came for a fuss and would have one," and she then called on her husband to come to the house. He did not do it however, but met his brother "at the fence" near by, when the attack com menced on the port of the crimina...

LETTER FROM CALIFORNIA. The following letter is from a young man of intelligence mid high niontl character, formerly of Campbell coun ty, East Tennessee, to his friend in Nashville. Santa Cnuz, California, Feb. 0. 1830. Deau Sin : I have designed writ jng to you foi som3 time, but busw ncss has prevented me. We arrived safe at Los Anjrelos upon the first day of November which made six and one half months from Fort Smith.
